“If it wasn’t for the Urban Family me and my children would be homeless. I would have adopted out my child. Thank you!”

Revelation 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken pottery. Where we might see pot shards that used to have meaning when they were all still one pot, a skilled potter would see an opportunity to not just restore, but to enhance beauty. Using a liquid resin that resembles gold, the skilled craftsperson mends the pieces back into one piece. Our Heavenly Father, the Master Potter, does this for the broken pieces of our lives. No matter how shattered and fragmented, when we surrender the jagged pieces of ourselves to Him, He promises to restore, redeem and resurrect us with His love, power, mercy and grace and make us into a marvelously beautiful vessel that He can use to reach other broken people. This ministry serves to remind the hurting, the hopeless, the addicted and the afflicted that no one is too broken for the Lord to heal and make new.
